      <title>Abundance: Have you activated your ALLOW button?</title>

Are you allowing yourself to be abundant? Are you allowing the Universe to bring you all the gifts that you say you want?&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-4161874"&gt;&lt;font face="verdana"&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-4161876"&gt;&lt;font face="verdana"&gt;Take a moment to explore in which area of your life you lack abundance. You can use the &lt;a href="Abundance-Wheel.html" class="userlink"&gt;Abundance Wheel&lt;/a&gt; of Life to measure each different area.&amp;#160; Print it out and then as you focus on each category ask yourself how abundant am I. All too often we have abundance in one area, but are completely lacking it in another. We may have the ideal job - but it doesn’t pay the rent! We may have found our perfect mate - but suffer from ill health. &lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-4161883"&gt;&lt;font face="verdana"&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-4161885"&gt;&lt;font face="verdana"&gt;Alternatively, you may prefer to just focus on each area in turn and give it a number from 0 – 10. Ten being super abundant and zero a total lack of abundance. Write down the numbers. &lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-4161886"&gt;&lt;font face="verdana"&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-4161888"&gt;&lt;font face="verdana"&gt;Select the area you would like to work on and close your eyes… imagine your ALLOW button. This is the button that will allow you to receive the abundance of the Universe. Are you ready to press it? &lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-4161889"&gt;&lt;font face="verdana"&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-4161891"&gt;&lt;font face="verdana"&gt;If you were able to press the button, celebrate! Sometimes all that is required is to ALLOW yourself to receive abundance.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-4161892"&gt;&lt;font face="verdana"&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-4161894"&gt;&lt;font face="verdana"&gt;Notice if you have even the slightest hesitation or reluctance to press the ALLOW button. This will come precisely from those parts of you that are not yet on board. There may be many different reasons why you are not yet be ready to press it: from blocks to deserving abundance, to fear of success, fear of failure, a combination….       <title>My sauerkraut craving...</title>

My body has the habit of very kindly letting me know when I need a specific food. Every time I walked past the sauerkraut in the supermarket, I just got this fancy for it, but couldn’t think of a way to eat it. I even got as far as buying it, but it just sat there in the store cupboard.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-4149615"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-4149617"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;You would have thought that having Polish parents I could have just knocked up a bigos, our most famous traditional dish, but unfortunately the cooking gene inherited by my sister and brothers seems to have passed me by!&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-4149618"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-4149620"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;It was only when I read Dr Mercola’s article on probiotics (see link below) that I worked out why my body was asking for the sauerkraut and was galvanised into action. It was quite an experience - my body was so delighted that I had finally got the message, it was doing little skips of pleasure every time I ate it!&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-4149621"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-4149623"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;So what is it that makes sauerkraut so special? Sauerkraut or indeed any of the fermented foods (see list below) help to ensure that our gut is populated by beneficial bacteria. Our excessive consumption of refined sugars which feed the harmful bacteria is one of the primary culprits. Another is taking antibiotics which indiscriminately kill both harmful and beneficial bacteria. Chlorinated water, birth control pills and stress can also jeopardise the balance. (While it may be necessary to take antibiotics on occasion, if this is followed by a diet that includes fermented food you will be able to repopulate your gut with the good bacteria.)&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-4149646"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-4149648"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;Probiotic supplements are notoriously expensive and some may not provide a good range of bacteria. I always prefer to get my vitamins and minerals from food wherever possible because they provide them in a natural and balanced way. &lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-4149649"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-4149651"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;The best way to ensure optimal gut flora is to regularly consume traditionally fermented foods and most cultures have their own versions: &lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;Pickled fermentations of cabbage (sauerkraut), turnips, eggplant, cucumbers, onions, squash, and carrots &amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;Fermented raw milk such as kefir or yogurt (but NOT commercial versions, which typically do not have live cultures and are loaded with sugars that feed the harmful bacteria)&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;Lassi - an Indian yogurt drink, traditionally enjoyed before dinner&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;Tempeh and Natto made from fermented soy&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;Kim chee&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-4149658"&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-4149660"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;When buying fermented foods it’s important that you check the labels carefully. Unfortunately our desire to exterminate all germs at any cost has led to many of the traditional fermented foods’ health benefits being compromised by pasteurisation. (Cooking will also destroy many of the beneficial bacteria, so consume raw to get the benefit). &lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-4149661"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-4149663"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;I haven’t yet been able to find unpasteurised sauerkraut here in Spain so we are now making our own - I’ll keep you posted on progress. The first batch should be ready soon! Now I just need to find the perfect Polish sausage to go with it, mmmm!&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-4149664"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-4149666"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;I’d love to hear from you. Estas experiencias pueden dejarte con emociones sin resolver como la pena,
tristeza, la decepci&amp;#243;n, ira, baja autoestima… A la vez estas experiencias
pueden haber contribuido a la formaci&amp;#243;n de creencias que son negativas o que te
limitan de alguna manera. Muchas de esas creencias fueron formadas en tu ni&amp;#241;ez

Si es as&amp;#237;, has identificado una de las

Si no sabes
por d&amp;#243;nde empezar, preg&amp;#250;ntate a ti mism@ qu&amp;#233; dec&amp;#237;an tus padres/tus abuelos
sobre las relaciones amorosas, sobre los hombres y las mujeres, sobre el amor;
que dec&amp;#237;an las personas de tu entorno; qu&amp;#233; dec&amp;#237;a la sociedad en tu juventud y qu&amp;#233;
dice la sociedad de ahora.&amp;#160; Entonces, en
una escala de 0 a 10 preg&amp;#250;ntate &amp;#191;&lt;i&gt;cu&amp;#225;nto
me lo creo?&lt;/i&gt; Sin pensarlo conscientemente, deja que el n&amp;#250;mero te venga a la
mente. Este ser&amp;#225; el n&amp;#250;mero aut&amp;#233;ntico que tu subconsciente te ha hecho saber.
Podemos saber conscientemente que esa creencia es falsa, como en el ejemplo
anterior, pero como para nosotros es como si fuera verdad, tiene influencia
sobre nosotros en como vemos el mundo y sobre c&amp;#243;mo actuamos.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-6551144"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-6551146"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;Es como si utiliz&amp;#225;ramos nuestras creencias para filtrar c&amp;#243;mo vemos el mundo
y lo que vemos. La funci&amp;#243;n de nuestro cerebro es darnos la raz&amp;#243;n ense&amp;#241;&amp;#225;ndonos solo
lo que creemos. As&amp;#237; que no atraemos ni ‘vemos’ nuestra pareja ideal, o
simplemente nos comportamos de forma que &amp;#161;salgan corriendo en direcci&amp;#243;n
opuesta!&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-6551147"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-6551149"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;Una vez que tengas tu lista de creencias que no te sirven, &amp;#191;C&amp;#243;mo puedes
cambiarlas? Para m&amp;#237;, el EFT (Tapping) es la herramienta ideal para cambiar esas
creencias ya que la puedes aplicar t&amp;#250;&amp;#250; mism@. Simplemente haz una ronda de EFT
sobre la creencia que quieres cambiar: ‘aunque creo que…’ Despu&amp;#233;s de una ronda comprueba
cu&amp;#225;nto lo crees ahora y repite el proceso las veces que sea necesario hasta que

the people around you and even the dictates of society impact your vibration.
These experiences can leave you with unresolved emotions: hurt, sadness,
disappointment, anger, low self esteem… In turn, these experiences may have led
you to form negative or limiting beliefs. Many of
these were formed when you were just a child and you may be totally unaware of
them, others you will have picked up along the way. &lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-11894181"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana" size="2"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-11894183"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana" size="2"&gt;So, when it comes to relationships what are you
resonating with?&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-11894184"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana" size="2"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-11894186"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana" size="2"&gt;Do you remember this interchange from the film &lt;i&gt;Sleepless
in Seattle&lt;/i&gt;? &lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-11894187"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana" size="2"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-11894189"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana" size="2"&gt;&amp;#160;“A lot of desperate women are
looking for love. &lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-11894190"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana" size="2"&gt;Especially over a certain age. &lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-11894191"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana" size="2"&gt;It&amp;#39;s
easier to be killed by a terrorist than it is to get married over 40. &lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-11894192"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana" size="2"&gt;That statistic is not true. &lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-11894193"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana" size="2"&gt;That&amp;#39;s right, it&amp;#39;s not true. But it feels true.”&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-11894194"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana" size="2"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-11894196"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana" size="2"&gt;Does it feel true for you? If so, you have identified
one of your limiting beliefs! &lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-11894197"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana" size="2"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-11894199"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana" size="2"&gt;Make a list of your limiting beliefs. If you
don’t know where to start and just can’t think of any, then ask yourself what
your parents used to say about relationships, about men and women, about love;
what the people around you used to say; what society says. Then on a scale of 0
to 10 ask yourself &lt;i&gt;how much do I believe that?&lt;/i&gt; Just let the number pop
into your head as this will be the true answer as supplied by your unconscious
mind. We may consciously know the belief is not true, as in the example above,
but because it feels true to us it influences how we see the world and the way
we act. &lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-11894200"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana" size="2"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-11894202"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana" size="2"&gt;It’s as if we use our beliefs to filter how we
see the world and what we see. The job of our brain is to prove us right by showing
us only what we believe. And in effect we just don’t attract or even ‘see’ the
eligible mates around us or alternatively we may simply act in a way that sends
them running in the opposite direction.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-11894203"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana" size="2"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-11894205"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana" size="2"&gt;Once you have your list of negative or limiting
beliefs, how do you go about changing them?&amp;#160;
For me, EFT is the ideal tool for changing your limiting beliefs as you
can easily do it yourself. Simply tap on the belief you want to change: ‘even
though I believe…’ After a round check again to see how much you believe it now
and repeat the process as often as required until the belief just disappears.

still unresolved in just the same way. &lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-11894210"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana" size="2"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-11894212"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana" size="2"&gt;And if you are already in a relationship,
remember that it only takes one to change for the whole relationship to change.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-11894213"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana" size="2"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-11894215"&gt;&lt;a href="#" rel="sw_lightbox" class="userlink"&gt;&lt;img src="http://www.getenergised.com/blog/assets/0_0_0_0_163_245_csupload_43018465.jpg?u=634667280773914270" width="163" height="245" id="post-400507:ctrl-11894069" alt="" title="" style="float:right;height:245px;margin:0 0 7px 7px;width:163px;"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana" size="2"&gt;It works! you let go of those limiting beliefs, the unresolved experiences and the
negative emotions, you change and your whole life changes to reflect that. And
then, as if by magic, your ideal partner just appears in your life :) &lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-11894218"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana" size="2"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-11894220"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana" size="2"&gt;Sometimes the beliefs or experiences may be too
deeply buried in your unconscious mind for you to access, or too painful for

is the time we start thinking about making our New Year’s resolutions. Or maybe
you don’t even bother anymore having already failed miserably so many times. I
read a statistic the other day that by the end of January 40% of people have
already given up on their New Year’s resolution and by June only 3% of people
are still on track. That’s a whopping 97% that have failed.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-9537868"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana" size="2"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-9537870"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana" size="2"&gt;Year
after year we decide yet again that we are going to lose weight and in our
eternal optimism decide that we really are going to achieve it this time. We
select the latest diet or product of our choice and steel ourselves for the
battle ahead. &lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-9537871"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana" size="2"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-9537873"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana" size="2"&gt;Now
if the failure rate for New Year’s Resolutions wasn’t enough, statistics also show
that diets alone don’t work 95% of the time. The problem isn’t so much losing weight
but keeping it off! But we continue to be taken in by the promises made by the
latest advertising campaign and subject ourselves to the misery and the
humiliation of almost certain failure. &lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-9537874"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana" size="2"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-9537876"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana" size="2"&gt;The
problem with diets, diet products and surgery is that they don’t take into
account that when we have a weight issue it is because we eat for &lt;b&gt;&lt;i&gt;emotional&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/b&gt;
reasons.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-9537877"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana" size="2"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-9537879"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana" size="2"&gt;So

is not condoning the hurtful actions of others. It is not forgetting that we

you ever stood gazing into the fridge, knowing you weren’t really hungry, but
that something wasn’t quite right, you weren’t quite right? You didn’t really &lt;b&gt;&lt;i&gt;know&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/b&gt;
what was wrong; you just had this uneasy feeling and food seemed like the best
way to fix it. &lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-8942557"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-8942559"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;But
it doesn’t fix it for long! And before you know it, there you are, back again
gazing into that fridge. After many repeated visits to the fridge over a period
of time, you begin to put on some weight and then some more weight, until
eventually you are officially ‘overweight’.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-8942560"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-8942562"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;In
our culture it is just not acceptable to be overweight. So called ‘fat’ people
are seen as lazy and weak willed. The media is constantly selling us the idea
that being slim and beautiful equates to success. &lt;i&gt;(Not so in other cultures, in Jamaica big is beautiful, in fact
the bigger the better!)&lt;/i&gt; Added to which the government is continually bombarding
us with the message that being overweight is bad for our health. &lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-8942563"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-8942565"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;So
the only thing for it is to go on a diet. &lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-8942566"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-8942568"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;Just
how many times have you tried to lose weight? How many different diets have you
tried? How long were you able to keep the weight off for? Every time you put
the weight back on again, you blame yourself. Just like they say, you’re lazy, weak
willed and a failure. Your self esteem begins to suffer. Maybe you just give up
or perhaps you decide it’s time to try another diet! And the vicious cycle
continues. &lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-8942569"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-8942571"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;It
never even occurs to you to think that maybe dieting isn’t the answer. ‘Eat
less, exercise more’ is the mantra of the day, the only solution we are offered
&lt;i&gt;(apart from the more drastic options of
pills that can sometimes have ghastly side effects or surgery that on occasion
can be life threatening).&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-8942572"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;&lt;i&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-8942573"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;Diets
alone simply don’t work for many people because it’s not the food that is the
problem – it’s that uneasy feeling. We’re trying to tranquilise that underlying
unease in the only way we know how – by eating. &lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-8942574"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-8942576"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;But
just what makes it so difficult for us to lose that weight? The answer lies in
the discovery that people with weight issues are what is termed as
psychologically reversed 95% of the time with regard to their issue of weight
loss. Being psychologically reversed just means that, for whatever reason,
there is a part of you that is not on board with the idea of losing weight. And
that part of you will sabotage all your attempts to lose weight!&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;

Psychological reversal can be very simply measured
using kinesiology or muscle testing. How does muscle testing work? Whenever you
say or think something that resonates as true with the subconscious mind, the
electrical and magnetic fields around the body actually become stronger and as
a result the muscles also become stronger. Similarly, when you say or think
something that resonates as false with the subconscious mind, the electrical
and magnetic fields around the body actually become weaker and as a result the

Anyone having difficulty losing weight will
invariably test &lt;i&gt;weak&lt;/i&gt; for ‘I want to
lose weight’ and &lt;i&gt;strong&lt;/i&gt; for ‘I want
to gain weight’. This simply means that while consciously you really, really
want to lose weight, your subconscious has another agenda altogether. S&lt;i&gt;ubconsciously&lt;/i&gt; you really don’t want to
lose that weight!

&lt;/font&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-8942578"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;So what is it that causes us to be psychologically
reversed? Author, kinesiologist and chiropractor Dr James Durlacher identifies
several primary themes: negativity, lack of self worth, issues around safety,
fear and secondary benefits. &lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-8942579"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-8942581"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;For
example, someone who has tried to slim unsuccessfully many times may believe that
they will never be able to lose weight (negativity). Another person may believe
subconsciously that they don’t deserve to be slim and beautiful (self worth). Someone
else may have suffered a traumatic event in the past, it could just have been a
perceived threat that they were unable to process at the time, and which they subconsciously
associate with being slim (it’s not safe for me to lose weight). Or they may
believe that losing weight will in some way adversely affect a loved one – for
example they think it may arouse jealousy in a sibling or damage their self
esteem (it’s not safe for others). It may be that they just love eating and are
not prepared to sacrifice their enjoyment (secondary benefit). Or if someone
has been overweight all their life subconsciously they may be afraid to lose
weight because they wouldn’t know who they were (fear). &lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-8942582"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-8942584"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;And
unfortunately, the problem with psychological reversal is that it isn’t
logical, it’s emotional; identifying and understanding it, doesn’t automatically
resolve it.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-8942585"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-8942587"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;So,
being overweight really isn’t your fault! It’s just a case of psychological
reversal.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-8942588"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-8942590"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;So
isn’t it about time you stopped blaming yourself!&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-8942591"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-8942593"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;But
if diets don’t address the emotional issues behind your overeating and it isn’t
your fault, do you just have to resign yourself to being overweight?&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-8942594"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-8942596"&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;The
